Study: Indiana manufacturers ready to learn, implement data and artificial intelligence

A quarter of Indiana’s economic output is based in manufacturing, and the transition to becoming data-driven and using artificial intelligence holds the possibility for broad economic impact among manufacturers, who, at this point, are missing a golden opportunity and lagging behind national trends. That is a finding of a Purdue study, which also found that those not using the advanced technology are not against the idea.

Office of the Provost announces appointments for Thomas, Servaty-Seib

The Office of the Provost has named Renee A. Thomas, longtime director of Purdue’s Black Cultural Center, as associate vice provost for diversity and inclusion and Heather Servaty-Seib, professor of counseling psychology in the College of Education and associate dean for student life in the Honors College, as associate vice provost for teaching and learning.

Purdue, Purdue Research Foundation launch 'Lab to Life' 6G digital innovation

The Purdue Research Foundation and Purdue University have announced the launch of the “Lab to Life” (L2L) digital innovation platform in the Discovery Park District adjacent to the university campus. The launch is the next step in creating one of the most connected innovation communities in the nation through the evolution from 5G to 6G.

Austin wins bronze in 400 free at Paralympics

Evan Austin won his first career medal at the Paralympic Games in thrilling fashion, edging out the fourth-place finisher by 0.04 hundredths of a second to claim bronze in the men's 400-meter freestyle (S7) Sunday (Aug. 29).
