Fire department staff persistently keep Purdue community safe

For Justin Marvin, the 32 firefighters who make up the Purdue University Fire Department are considered family. Marvin is proud to be a member of a department that provides reliable, specialized services. PUFD serves more than 50,000 students, faculty and staff on the West Lafayette campus and is the only full-time fire department in the Big Ten Conference.

Engineering announces Project Bridge, minority student scholarships

In support of one of Purdue’s Next Moves to increase the number of underrepresented Boilermakers on the West Lafayette campus and to support their success as students, faculty, staff and alumni, the College of Engineering announces a five-year program. Project Bridge has been established with a $5 million gift from Bill Uhrig (BSAAE ’82) and Anastasia Vournas.

Purdue is offering tips to help alleviate some of the challenges associated with managing remote workloads and participating in video meetings. This week’s tip recommends participants have cameras on during small meetings with active engagement. In large presentation meetings, listeners may have cameras off.
