Virtual QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training sessions available this fall

Ensuring that Purdue employees have access to the tools, resources and training materials needed in case of a personal mental health concern or issue or in order to help someone else in a mental health crisis is a priority of the University. One type of training available -- QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training -- is offered by Purdue’s Office of the Dean of Students.

Photo gallery: Happy Birthday, Purdue Bell Tower

Today (Oct. 14), Purdue is marking the 25th birthday of the Purdue Bell Tower, the landmark standing tall at the center of campus symbolizing the University's persistent pursuit to reach "one brick higher." As part of the celebration, Purdue will dedicate a time capsule and hold other activities, and the bell tower will play “Happy Birthday” after regularly scheduled chimes.

A letter from President Mitch Daniels will be included in the time capsule being dedicated as part of the University's celebration of the Purdue Bell Tower's 25th birthday.

The new episode of "This is Purdue" podcast focuses on the Purdue "All-American" Marching Band, which displays its rich musical talents at home football games and concerts and festivals around the world. The episode also highlights Purdue Reamer Club, charged with caring for and maintaining the official mascot of Purdue, the Boilermaker Special.
