Reminder: Self-assessment available to determine workplace accommodations for vulnerable populations

Faculty and staff who believe they are medically vulnerable to serious illness and need additional assistance on campus can complete the assessment. Faculty and staff who are working remotely or have everything they need to protect them on campus do not need to initiate an assessment.

Helping ‘SNL’ entertain a quarantined nation

When most TV shows halted production this spring amid COVID-19, Purdue alumnus Jack Klink seized the opportunity to edit segments for three at-home “Saturday Night Live” episodes. An innovative filmmaker, cinematographer and editor, Klink had previously worked with “SNL” cast member Chloe Fineman, filming and editing online videos. The two enjoyed collaborating so much that when “SNL” planned a quarantine edition composed of virtually filmed segments, Fineman and Klink once again joined forces.

Microsoft, Purdue Ag working together to help Hoosier farmers

Even before COVID-19 strained Indiana’s farmers and complicated the how, when and where of food buying, Hoosier farmers knew they needed a better way to market their product to consumers. That’s why the College of Agriculture in collaboration with Microsoft is launching the Hoosier Food Market, a website where farmers can sell directly to consumers with no overhead costs and flexibility for the producer and customer.

New photo gallery: Delivering Innovation at Purdue University

Purdue is persistent in the pursuit of innovation. A new photo gallery shows how Boilermakers embrace and build on new ideas, processes and ways of seeing things that represent a departure from the norm and add value to the world. Photos were taken before Purdue instituted remote learning and social distancing in March 2020 and the requirement for face masks while indoors and in close-quarters settings.

Pharmacy students address food insecurity during COVID-19

Students in the College of Pharmacy have created a program to send nutritious, nonperishable food boxes to individuals and families with food insecurities.
