Loretta Lynch and Jeff Flake, both former major figures in the U.S. government, will share an onstage conversation at Purdue’s Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration on Wednesday (Jan. 22). Professor Cheryl Cooky, chair of the University Senate, will moderate that talk. About 350 Purdue volunteers honored the life and legacy of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. by helping local community agencies during the MLK Day of Service on Monday (Jan. 20). Volunteers spent time with community service agencies in Tippecanoe County, including those that work with the on-campus food pantry, children, seniors, health care and people experiencing homelessness. |
