The upcoming weekend is the last weekend employees will have to review enrollment information and make their decisions before the 6 p.m. ET Tuesday (Nov. 12) deadline. All employees at the West Lafayette, Fort Wayne and Northwest campuses are strongly encouraged to actively enroll for 2020 benefits.

Beyond 'You are what you eat': Purdue researchers work to
unravel obesity biology and behaviors

Obesity is a pandemic, and one center of the pandemic is the United States, where about 40% of adults and over 20% of adolescents ages 12-19 are obese, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The disorder contributes to heart disease, stroke, Type 2 diabetes, certain forms of cancer and many other ailments. Find out how Purdue researchers are pursuing a broad sweep of obesity-related studies across fields ranging from nutrition science and psychology to biology and food science in the College of Health and Human Science's latest issue of Life 360.

Grounds apartment award

Grounds Department wins award for best maintained grounds and landscapes

The Purdue Grounds Department has received an Honor Award from the Professional Grounds Management Society for the 2019 PGMS Green Star Awards. The society’s annual awards program provides national recognition for some of the best maintained grounds and landscapes. The Grounds Department maintains 996 acres across campus, which includes 21.3 million square feet of planting beds, 6.5 million square feet of turf and 7.4 million square feet of paved areas.

students pursue
education, hopes

Morgan Torres can often be found working on homework, class projects and military drills at Purdue. The Veterans Success Center at Purdue is a place where both of her worlds meet. Torres, who has served in the U.S. Army Reserve for the past five years, is one of almost 1,000 students who are military veterans, active duty personnel or relatives of active-duty personnel or veterans.
