Free Hands-Only CPR training to be offered Oct. 28

Hundreds of Purdue students, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to learn the lifesaving skill of hands-only CPR on Oct. 28. The American Heart Association and the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation are teaming up to train the public in Hands-Only CPR during a mobile tour that will return to Purdue for a third visit.

Time to show Purdue pride at Exploration Acres

Nine miles of paths, four Purdue-themed mazes, 494,000 stalks of corn and two more weekends for Purdue faculty, staff, students and alumni to see the “150 Years of Giant Leaps" design at Exploration Acres, Northwest Indiana’s largest corn maze and pumpkin patch.


* Purdue Day will be Sunday (Oct. 20). Anyone with a Purdue student, faculty, staff or alumni ID or who wears Purdue gear will receive $3 off adult admission. Expect Purdue Pete, the Boilermaker Special, and giveaways and hands-on activities with Purdue colleges and units.


* The Purdue Employee Activities Program is offering a discount on the two remaining Saturdays, Oct. 19 and Oct. 26, to faculty and staff with a Purdue ID. Tickets are $9 for ages 13 and up, $8 for ages 6-12, and free for age 5 and under. Hours are 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
