Lilly chief scientific officer to speak Friday at Purdue

Dr. Daniel Skovronsky, president of Lilly Research Laboratories and chief scientific officer of Eli Lilly and Co., will present “What IF We Stopped Fighting Disease?” at 10:30 a.m. Friday (Oct. 4) in Stewart Center’s Fowler Hall. Co-sponsored with Discovery Park, the Ideas Festival event is free and open to the public.

What giant leaps will the next 150 years bring as Purdue continues its drive to meet the world's future challenges? In this monthly Purdue Today series, Purdue's deans have shared their thoughts on the future of their college over the next 150 years. The series concludes with Eric Barker, dean of the College of Pharmacy.

The Leaper X transit pilot program is now available to West Lafayette campus faculty, staff and students as an additional, app-based campus transportation option. The program is testing marketplace innovation that may expand campus transit coverage and reduce overall travel time.

Future Moms, a wellness program from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, can answer questions and help expecting parents make good choices and follow their health care provider's plan of care. Additionally, it can help women have a safe delivery and a healthy child.
