Now, Purdue mechanical engineering students are sharing their toys with the public as part of an annual toy fair on April 25 that coincides with Purdue’s 150th anniversary. The event will include a toy museum, and students will present their toy prototypes, which all share a theme celebrating Purdue’s 150th anniversary.

Eating insects may seem like an odd way to protect our planet, but Brooklyn Bugs’ executive director Joseph Yoon believes it may play a key role in sustainability initiatives. Yoon, alongside Andrea Liceaga, associate professor of food science and director of the Sensory Evaluation Laboratory at Purdue University, teamed up to talk about the benefits of edible insects as a part of a Purdue Ideas Festival event.
