Walmart likely to leave CVS Caremark pharmacy network

Human Resources has been notified that Walmart plans to leave the CVS Caremark pharmacy benefit management commercial and managed Medicaid retail pharmacy networks. CVS Caremark has requested that Walmart continue to fill prescriptions as an in-network participating pharmacy through April 30 and is awaiting a response on the transition period.

Purdue Bands & Orchestras to host 29th annual Purdue Jazz Festival

More than 100 jazz bands from middle schools and high schools across the Midwest have been accepted to compete in the 29th annual Purdue Jazz Festival on Jan. 19. Festival events will begin Thursday (Jan. 17), with a free Community Showcase Concert at 7:30 p.m. at Lafayette’s Long Center, featuring the Purdue Jazz Band, jazz bands from Tippecanoe County and guest saxophonist Jarrard Harris.

Indiana’s animal shelters are less crowded thanks to Priority 4 Paws

Dozens of Indiana animal shelters have limited resources when it comes to spaying and neutering. Priority 4 Paws, the College of Veterinary Medicine's mobile shelter medicine and surgery program, is bringing some much-needed relief to those shelters -- and help in reducing the time animals wait for adoption.
