Purdue health officials investigating possible mumps cases

Purdue is investigating eight more probable cases of mumps on the West Lafayette campus. As with the five cases in early April, the University is working with the Tippecanoe County Health Department and the Indiana State Department of Health to identify and directly notify anyone who may have been in close contact with these cases, and advises faculty, staff, students and members of the community to educate themselves on the symptoms, transmission and prevention of mumps.
