'Vishing' attempts to hook sensitive personal information by phone call or voice mail

"Vishing" is an attempt to use a phone call or voice mail for the same kinds of purposes as scam emails classified as "phishing," including stealing and misusing your private personal and financial information. ITaP has some tips on how to recognize and avoid vishing scams.
