A Purdue summertime tradition will bring four Wednesday evenings of satisfying food, free live music, and pleasant surroundings at Purdue Memorial Union, starting this Wednesday (July 9). This year's Summer Concert Series, organized in conjunction with the Purdue Student Union Board, kicks off with a performance by The 3 Snyders.
Faculty and staff news
Since 2011, the IMPACT program has helped more than 125 faculty redesign courses around active, participatory student-centered teaching and learning to foster higher levels of engagement by students. The program is currently accepting faculty applications for the fall 2014 semester.
Purdue Surplus Store plans a two-phase move-out sale in Grissom Hall -- a department-only sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday (July 8), and a public sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday (July 9-10).
"Thumbs Up" gives faculty and staff the chance to recognize others on campus for a job well done.

Gov. Mike Pence has reappointed Thomas Spurgeon, Gary Lehman and Bruce White to serve on the Purdue Board of Trustees through June 30, 2017.

Four U.S. high school students hope the momentum from the USA Biology Olympiad at Purdue will carry into the 2014 International Biology Olympiad.
The "5 Students Who Move the World Forward" website is now taking nominations for the October 2014 edition. Nominations should be made at https://marketing.purdue.edu/5students by 5 p.m. July 18.
