Every day, Mark Sharp walks through Heine Pharmacy Building with the knowledge that his role in the College of Pharmacy helps researchers with important missions, including efforts to cure cancer. As the College of Pharmacy's director of technical services, Sharp leads technical support efforts, is involved in digitally recording courses, and develops applications for students and faculty. Cynthia Bozich Keith (top photo), clinical associate professor of nursing, and Jason Weiss (second photo), the Jack and Kay Hockema Professor in Civil Engineering, have been named recipients of the 2014 Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Awards in Memory of Charles B. Murphy. Bozich Keith and Weiss were surprised with the news Thursday (March 27).
Murphy Award recipients announced earlier this week were Kathleen Howell, the Hsu Lo Distinguished Professor of Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering; Suzanne Nielsen, professor of food science; and David Eichinger, associate professor of curriculum and instruction. Cary Troy, assistant professor of civil engineering, received Purdue's new Exceptional Early Career Award.

Tom Megyesi, women's basketball head coach at Purdue University Calumet, has been named the 2014 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Region IV Coach of the Year by Russell Athletics and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
Registration for the 2014 Purdue Coaches Golf School opened this week in preparation for the June 16-20 event. The four-day camp provides golfers ages 11 to 18 with access to several NCAA Division I head coaches and golfers in addition to the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex's Ackerman Hills and Kampen golf courses.
