Purdue Profiles: Tracie Egger

Tracie Egger is passionate about showing prospective students how earning a degree from the College of Agriculture can precipitate a lifetime of success. Egger is the college's assistant director of academic programs. When she's not explaining to high school students how an agriculture degree can lead to a career as a doctor, scientist, business leader or something else, Egger advises the college's undergraduate student ambassadors and its pre-veterinary medicine students.

Purdue to operate today on normal schedule

Purdue officials confirmed that the University will operate on a normal work and class schedule today (Jan. 28). This decision is based on a careful consideration by the administration and an assessment of the National Weather Service forecast, including predicted temperatures and wind speed, for the West Lafayette campus and a discussion with NWS staff.

Purdue to hold Day of Healing on Friday

Purdue will hold a Day of Healing on Friday (Jan. 31) in the wake of the Jan. 21 shooting death of student Andrew F. Boldt.

BOT Executive Committee to meet today

The Board of Trustees' Executive Committee will hold a public meeting at 11:30 a.m. today (Jan. 28) in Stewart Center, Room 326. The agenda for the meeting can be found at www.purdue.edu/bot.

Course Signals, digital tools help instructors provide personalized feedback to students

Digital tools such as Course Signals, the Blackboard Retention Center and PassNote can help faculty provide timely, ongoing feedback regarding students' performance in a course and what they can do to improve. Instructors interested in these tools are encouraged to register for upcoming ITaP workshops scheduled for Feb. 5 and 6.

Applications sought for Mortar Board's Class of 2015

The Barbara Cook Chapter of Mortar Board is accepting nominations for the Class of 2015 until 5 p.m. Feb. 5. As an honor society for senior students, Mortar Board relies heavily on the faculty and staff of Purdue for help identifying outstanding students for this opportunity.
