Purdue's engineering students who pursue interdisciplinary studies in the Department of Theatre gain access to invaluable knowledge and experiences that often help them land jobs in the entertainment industry. These academic options are called theatre engineering studies, and they involve courses in sound system design, scenery engineering and lighting design.

The Purdue University Teaching Academy welcomed 13 new members in an induction and recognition ceremony on Wednesday (Oct. 9).
The College of Agriculture is inviting faculty, staff and graduate staff to participate in two town hall meetings titled "What is the Plant Sciences Research and Education Pipeline?"

Purdue has been selected as one of 16 hosts for the first and second rounds of the 2014 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship Tournament. This marks the third time in the last seven years the Boilermakers have hosted NCAA women's basketball postseason action in Mackey Arena.
Fans traveling to Ross-Ade stadium for Saturday's (Oct. 12) Big Ten football game between Purdue and Nebraska can use a website to help them navigate game-day traffic around campus and back to local hotels.
Members of the Purdue football team will meet and greet their fellow citizens of Lafayette and West Lafayette as they walk across the John T. Myers Pedestrian Bridge at Friday's (Oct. 11) Boiler Bridge Walk.
