In the Spotlight
Bobby Chastain understands that real-world experience is just as important as an academic degree when it comes to landing a job in the film and video industry. Chastain is a Hall of Music Productions employee, a PhD candidate in the College of Technology, a Purdue graduate and formerly worked in Los Angeles as a special effects technician. He uses his experience in the industry to help Purdue's film and video studies students learn the industry's ropes before they even graduate.

When President Mitch Daniels gives the keynote address tonight (Aug. 19) at the Technology Policy Institute's Aspen Institute Forum, it will be one of an extensive list of appearances and events across the state, nation and world in which he works to advance Purdue's global reputation.

The College of Engineering on Tuesday (Aug. 13) launched a colorful new website that encourages young women to explore the world of possibilities that a Purdue engineering education can give them.
The Purdue Bowlermakers women's bowling league will hold an organizational meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 21) in Stewart Center, Room 318.
