The standardization and centralization of academic advising is taking place on Purdue's West Lafayette campus as part of the Foundations of Excellence initiative, which seeks to enhance first-year students' success.

Faculty and staff are reminded to disclose their Reportable Outside Activities for the 2013-14 fiscal year through the online reporting system. The online system is located at https://webapps.ecn.purdue.edu/VPEC/OAD.
The Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee will award 31 dependent grants totaling $23,500 and 10 employee grants for a total of $5,000, the group learned during its meeting June 11 at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne.

President Mitch Daniels is making a June 22-27 trip to China to meet with existing and potential partners in economic and educational initiatives.
Purdue Research Foundation and Purdue's Discovery Park will jointly open a building in early July for industry and Purdue research partnerships, student entrepreneurial activities and startup company offices.
The Indiana Next Generation Manufacturing Competitiveness Center -- IN-MaC -- is accepting applications for its initial program involving technology adoption.
