The store's origins can be traced back several decades, when it served as a distribution center for 4-H materials and publications related to Purdue Extension, the University's land-grant outreach arm. President helps welcome space shuttle Discovery to Smithsonian collection

President France A. Córdova, chair of the Smithsonian Board of Regents, helped mark the transfer of space shuttle Discovery from NASA into the Smithsonian's collection during a ceremony on Thursday (April 19) at the National Air and Space Museum's Udvar-Hazy Center. A video of the ceremony, which featured speakers including Córdova, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden and former Sen. John Glenn, is available from C-SPAN here.
