IMPACT redesigning
large classes in waves; next cohort to form

Like many other instructors faced with teaching introductory courses, psychology professor George Hollich and math lecturer Tim Delworth have taught their classes the same way for years, lecturing to students who sit passively in large classrooms. That's about to change. The instructors are part of IMPACT (Instruction Matters: Purdue Academic Course Transformation), a program about course redesign that aims to change the way key foundation, large enrollment classes are taught. Big Ten launching all-campuses mobile tour

The Big Ten Conference has announced the launch today (Aug. 31) of the "Honoring Legends. Building Leaders." mobile tour, which will visit each Big Ten campus this football season. The tour will contain the Big Ten Football Championship and division trophies and will make its West Lafayette stop for the Sept. 17 game against Southeast Missouri State. Read more...
