AVP joins Office of Industry Research and Technology Programs

Geanie Umberger has joined the Office of the Vice President for Research as assistant vice president for corporate and foundation relations.
A graduate of the University of Kentucky, she holds a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, a master's in public health and a Ph.D. in anatomy and neurobiology. Umberger was previously administrative director for clinical and translational science in the Center for Clinical and Translational Research at the University of Kentucky.
In her new position, she will identify and facilitate collaborations between industry and investigators, programs, centers, departments, startup companies, and community partners. Her contact information is 49-63723 or gumberger@purdue.edu.
