Historian to talk pop culture, WWII during Experience Liberal Arts

Randy Roberts
A Purdue historian will talk about how comic book hero Superman, actor John Wayne and boxer Joe Louis relate to World War II. Randy Roberts, distinguished professor of history, will present "Popular Culture and WWII" from 3:30-5 p.m. Oct. 7 in Stewart Center, Room 202. The event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Department of History and Experience Liberal Arts, a monthlong celebration highlighting the College of Liberal Arts. More

Ralph's World to bring kid-friendly music to West Lafayette

Ralph's World, a pop-rock group led by Ralph Covert, will perform in a family-friendly concert at 3 p.m. Oct. 12 in the University Plaza Hotel Ballroom at 3001 Northwestern Ave. in West Lafayette. Purdue Convocations is presenting the concert as part of its Family Adventures series. More
