Engaging the Public: Communicating About Environmental Issues, A Lunch Series

Description

This fall, the Center for the Environment and the Purdue Policy Research Institute will hold a series of small lunches that will provide informal discussions on topics including: communicating with the public about the environment; Op-eds on the environment; Policy Statements; Faculty Experts responding to environmental crises.

Each lunch discussion will be led by an experienced faculty member who will provide insight to the topic and how faculty can consider participating in public communication about environmental topics.  These will require pre-registration.  For the first lunch we  welcome Dr. Leigh Raymond, Professor of Political Science, who will talk about writing for external audiences in the format of op-eds and policy briefs and speak about how you can get more involved through the Scholars Strategy Network.
