Description: (HSCI 671) In-depth examination of the mechanisms of xenobiotic metabolism in eukaryotic cells. Focus on mechanisms of oxidative and other types of xenobiotics, and mechanisms for cell-specific bioactivation and detoxification of xenobiotics. Discussions of experimentally-based approaches to the evaluation of mechanisms of toxicity of drugs and other chemicals. Offered in alternate years.
