Description: Examines the appropriate combination of production systems, organizational characteristics, and human resource systems to achieve ends of cost effectiveness, quality, and adaptation to change. HR practices begin with job and work system design and matches these with appropriate staffing and selection, training, performance measurement, etc. Lecture, discussion, case studies, and guest speakers are used to build professional competence in these areas. Prerequisite: OBHR 63100 or 63300 and graduate level coursework in Operations Management and Supervision.
