Short Title: Wireless Network Tech
Description: The course will introduce the technology used in wireless networks with the primary emphasis on implementation issues Wireless network configuations and roaming standards, advantages and limitations of wireless technology, and emerging wireless and mobile data technologies will be explored. Technologies such as Cellular Packet Digital Data (CDPD), Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) and Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), the Bluetooth initiative, Wireless Application Protocol, Spread Spectrum technology, and other current technologies will be covered. Laboratory assignments will allow students to set up and test a wireless network using several of these technologies.
