Short Title: Basic Accounting Skill
Description: This course addresses the processes involved when recording, classifying and reporting the economic transactions that occur in the firm. Special emphasis is given to the process of identifying, analyzing and measuring economic transactions. Specifically, the course will address the preparation of source documents, recording original entries, using special journals, preparing adjusting and closing entries, and the preparation of financial statements. The use of both manual and computerized accounting systems will be emphasized.
