Description: This course focuses on the discipline of nursing by introducing students to the foundational knowledge needed to assess the life processes, and the developmental, ethnic, and cultural patterns of health and illness in individuals. Students will apply this knowledge to identify common problems, and to implement standardized nursing practices. The course will emphasize nursing roles, the nursing process, and the acquisition of basic psychomotor skills in simulated learning settings.
