Description: A laboratory course designed to illustrate the principles of microwave measurements, the operation of passive and solid-state active components and applications in communications systems. Experimental exercises include characterization of coaxial and waveguide components, signal sources, detectors, wave propagation and antennas. Network analyzer and spectrum analyzer measurements are employed in evaluations of noise, active and passive components, and radar systems.
