Description: Modeling and analysis of transportation network problems through the design, analysis, and implementation of algorithms. Emphasis on the use of quantitative techniques of operations research to model system performance. Covers fundamental data structures, complexity analysis, memory management, recursive programs, application of graph theory and network analysis to transportation problems, analytical formulations and solution algorithms for traffic assignment problems, and dynamic traffic assignment. Prerequisite: CE 59600 or IE 50100.
