Description: A mathematical approach to the dynamics of single populations and communities. Topics include regulated and unregulated population growth, time lags, competition, predation, and populations with age structure. Each topic is considered in discrete time and in continuous time. Knowledge of basic calculus is necessary; other mathematical techniques will be taught. Offered in alternate years.
