Description: This introductory Internet course explores the history, architecture, and development of the Internet and the World Wide Web. The course also surveys search engines and evaluation of Web sites. Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML) is covered in detail in a tool-independent environment. The course also introduces Extensible Markup Language (XML), Web scripting, Web authoring tools, electronic commerce and Web site design, implementation and security issues.
