Description: | This course seeks to introduce students to the biology of several "model" organisms. Emphasis will be placed on the use of genetic analysis in studying these organisms, and where applicable, parallels will be drawn between these organisms and their larger eukaryotic relatives. The course will consist of four parts: genetics systems, growth and metabolic regulation, cell biology, and development. |
