Description: This course will focus on the relationship between personality and politics in different cultural contexts and across various time periods. We shall examine the literature on political biography (analysis of single political actors); on psychological types; and on personality aggregates. We shall be particularly concerned with problems of evidence, inference, and conceptualization in this field.
