Description: | This course covers solar and thermal radiative transfer in planetary atmospheres, with applications to atmospheric numerical modeling and remote sensing, stratospheric photochemistry, and aeronomy. Particular emphasis will be placed on current issues such as the greenhouse effect, the catalytic destruction of ozone, and the remote sensing of climatically relevant parameters of the earth-atmosphere system. |
