Description: Survey of the history of the earth from its origin to the present. Emphasis is placed on the nature, sequence, and rate of major geologic events and their effect on the origin and evolution of life. Laboratory covers basic stratigraphic and paleontologic principles and familiarization with important groups of fossil life.
