Description: Advanced assessment techniques are utilized to examine individuals across the lifespan as well as communities. The focus is on the development and modification of skills necessary to assess infants, children and the elderly. Assessment of adolescent/adult reproductive health and community health also is addressed. Normal and pathological physical alterations are differentiated. Recognition or pathological alterations requiring consultation with or referral to other health care providers or community health services is emphasized.
