Description: | Students are exposed to, and responsible for, case-oriented problem solving experiences with large animal surgical diseases, including lamenesses. Students may have an opportunity to focus on a particular species during a portion of the basic block. The basic block will include the development of skills and capability with the principles of surgery (e.g., anesthesia, asepsis, and wound healing) as applied to large animal patients. The basic block experience will be directed to primary-level care. |
