Description: A series of one-credit courses on special topics in engineering materials and related areas offered as MSE 595A, 595B, etc. These minicourses will provide topics of contemporary importance or special interest designed to augment the standard electives. Typical areas for topics are electron microscopy, microanalytic techniques, nondestructive testing, failure analysis, extractive processes, materials recycling, joining methods, powder metallurgy, composite materials, materials utilization, etc. Information about current offerings may be obtained from the schedule of classes or the school office.
