Description: An advanced course dealing with selected diseases of dogs and cats. Designed for the student who is focusing on small animal or companion animal practice. A systems approach is used to teach the major concepts of diseases affecting each body system. Focuses on diagnosis and treatment of diseases commonly encountered in small animal clinical practice. Topics covered in this elective include endocrinology, nephrology, gastroenterology, and immune-mediated diseases.
