Short Title: Physics Of Sports
Description: This course enables students to learn fundamental physical principles and concepts from examples of situations occurring in sports. The numerous recent applications of physics toward enhancing sports performance, both by improving techniques and equipment, will be selectively studied. Physical concepts such as velocity and acceleration, force, momentum, impulse, rotational motion, torque, pressure, fluid flow, energy and power will be introduced and exemplified through sports. The course is intended for non-science majors.
