Description: Two-hour lecture and two-hour laboratory class about the theory and operation of lasers. Lectures will discuss basic optics, the operation of lasers, laser safety, and the uses of lasers in science, industry, construction, communication, entertainment and medical fields. Laboratory will reinforce classroom discussions. Class intended for non-physics majors.
