Description: | (BIOL 650, HORT 650) This course consists of 12 one-credit topics. Three will be offered each semester, over a two-year period, with the cycle repeating. Topics will be: translocation (Housley), photosynthesis (Dilley), stress physiology (Bressan), cell and tissue culture (Hasegawa), phenolics (Nicholson), plant cell enlargement (Carpita), gene expression in plants (Goldsbrough), seed and bud dormancy (Weller), nitrogen fixation, and nitrogen metabolism (Rhodes). Prerequisite: BIOL 55100. |
