Description: | Theory and application of methods of separation and quantitation as applied to biochemical and biological problems. Emphasis is placed on the theoretical and practical aspects of methods such as absorption spectrophotometry, fluorescence and emission spectrophotometry, optical rotatory dispersion and light scattering, ultracentrifugation, countercurrent distribution, electrophoresis, and the various forms of chromatography. Prerequisite: CHM 32100, PHYS 22100, (CHM 25100 or 25600). |
