Description: Focuses on teaching children who experience difficulty acquiring literacy. Assessments of children's strengths and needs are used to plan and evaluate instruction. Strategies for helping children develop more mature literacy understandings are applied in weekly small-group instructional sessions. Includes a field-based experiential component. Taken concurrently with EDCI 364 and 365. No undergraduate students may be enrolled in any of these undergraduate courses until they have been admitted to teacher education.
