Description: Chemistry of soils in relation to plant nutrient availability. Principles of nutrient flux to plant roots growing in soil. Effects of physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil on nutrient flux. Influences of plant roots on the soil. Offered in alternate years. Prerequisite: AGRY 57500, BIOL 55100; it is recommended that this course be preceded or accompanied by CHM 57300 and 57400 or HORT 54500.
