Description: This course provides comprehensive training on issues of tobacco use, dependence, and treatment. The course will focus on enabling students in health care disciplines to provide tobacco cessation treatment to patients. The course reviews and expands on any previous tobacco-related coursework. However, previous course work in tobacco cessation is not required. The course is designed as an online, asynchronous, during a semester length time period with students completing a series of modules independently and asynchronously. Outside readings are required. Students are evaluated through completion of various assignments within each module.
