Description: Designed to help nonscience majors learn the nature of science as a human enterprise through active exporation in enough depth to confront critical questions such as How do we know? and Why do we believe? First course of a two-course sequence; includes a three-week introductory module and two six-week modules on specific topics and/or issues such as acid rain, the extinction of sinosaurs, or the solar system. May be repeated for credit with different issues/topics.
