Description: This course does not carry credit toward degree requirements in Computer Technology. An extended study of word processing and its practical application in business and technology. A project-oriented approach will be utilized to illustrate word processing in solving specific information processing problems. Students will learn how to use word processing in a Windows environment to perform document enhancement, merging of documents and databases, incorporation of spreadsheet tables into documents, and applying desktop publishing techniques to documents. This course is designed for non-Computer Technology majors who have had a modest exposure to computers.
