Description: A continuation of ENGL 240, this course surveys English literature (excluding the novel) from the late eighteenth century to the twentieth century, with emphasis on such major writers as Blake, Wordsworth, Keats, Tennyson, Arnold, Blake, Hardy, Yeats, T.S. Eliot, and Auden. The course also treats significant minor writers in their relation to literary movements and ideas.
